Roof Layover
A roof layover is the fastest and least costly option you may have to restore your roof. This consists of a new shingle overlay over your existing shingle. The cost for a roof layover can cost $4.90 to $8.90 per square foot.
Consideration
Not all roofs are suitable for a layover. The home must have a sound roof structure, and have only one existing shingle layer. Roofs with more than 2 layers required a complete tear off. Water leaks must be repaired before the new shingle can be installed. Some material may not be compatible. A roof and attic inspection are required. No Warranty is offered as the new layer is placed over another roof.
